Note.

The transfer of M. ferrugineus to Dioclea was proposed by Amshoff in an unpublished manuscript and validated by Adema (1998). As the name Dioclea ferruginea was already occupied by D. ferruginea Ducke, Adema (1998) proposed the new name Dioclea decandra . However, the original name M. ferrugineus is its correct name in Macropsychanthus [see also note under M. duckei].
