Zammara calochroma Walker, 1858 .

Specimens in TAMU were collected at Tamaulipas, Estacioin Biologica Los Cedros Gz. Farias, 300 m, 26–27 July 1993. In the LSUC, there are specimens from Tamaulipas, El Cielito near Encino, 28–30 August 1985. Finally, in the UMNH there are specimens from Huichihuayan, Mexico, August 1940. This site is located in the state of San Luis Potosi .

This species has been reported as far south as Venezuela, Colombia, and Ecuador (Metcalf, 1963 a). It is common in collections from tropical Central and South America.
