Remarks.

Invasive. Newly recorded for Ascension. Synaphosus syntheticus was initially described in Nodocion Chamberlin, 1922 and is often sympatric with Nodocion s.s. in the Nearctic. This species is also found in Africa (Egypt, Libya), the Middle East (Israel and Saudi Arabia) and is thought introduced to the United States and Mexico, although it was originally described from California (Ovtsharenko et al. 1994; WSC 2023). We provide complimentary images of the palp (Fig. 5A, B) and epigyne (Fig. 5C, D).
