Isdromas ? rufithoracicus (Cresson, 1868)
Tryphon rufithorax Cresson, 1868: 91 . Nomen nudum. Tryphon rufithoracicus Cresson, 1868: 107 .
Holotype 3 (IES # 537) lacking wings and metasoma behind tergite I, with face and mouthparts partially obscured by glue. Although more or less unrecognizable, it is clearly a small geline cryptine, possibly genus Isdromas . Further recognition cannot be done until other specimens are collected. The areolated and clearly visible propodeum should allow this species to eventually be recognized. Townes and Townes (1966) saw no material of this species and treated it as being unplaced; they also noted that in a checklist (Cresson 1868: 91) this species was referred to as rufithorax sp. n. As that name was not accompanied by a description or a reference to the description it should be considered a nomen nudum and the correct name for this species is rufithoracicus as given in the original description (Cresson 1868: 107).
