Description. Female. Body length 9.12± 1.04 mm; black. Head: Black; coarsely punctate; dense white pubescence on paraocular area, clypeus laterally, golden yellow pubescence on labrum; mandible tridentate; clypeus strongly convex, with median longitudinal ridge, apical margin incurved with small tubercles; three longitudinal ridges or carinae on face, juxtantennal carinae plus median carina on frons and supraclypeal area often reduced to shiny ridge; anterior tentorial pit at intersection of subantennal and epistomal sulcus; F1 shorter than pedicel; first labial segment almost twice length of second; inter-ocular distance longer than inter-antennal distance.

Mesosoma: Punctation coarse; dense white pubescence on anterior margin of pronotum, beneath pronotal lobe; golden yellow pubescence on inner side of tarsi; pronotal lobe broad, swollen with margin carinate; anterior margin of mesoscutum depressed medially; posterior margin of mesoscutellum rounded, with medial invagination, overhanging metanotum; fore wing hyaline at base, dark fuscous at apex; hind wing subhyaline; tarsal claws cleft; arolia present.

Metasoma: Punctation fine, sparse; T6 slightly concave with spines laterally, apical margin slightly notched medially; S6 punctation coarse, with acutely angular discal and latero-basal teeth, concave, apex deflexed, covered with long white pubescence.

Male. Body length 9.94± 1.08 mm; black; similar to female except as follows: T7 with three apical spines, median one more prominent than lateral ones; apical margin of S4 with dense pubescence; S5 with apico-lateral spines; S6 fringed with pubescence, apical margin incurved medially, with minute median angular projection; S8 convex above lateral apodeme, with few sparse hairs on anterior margin, spiculum elongated stalk-like; genitalia with gonostylus bulged suddenly, slightly concave anteriorly with sparse and short hairs; penis valve pointed distally, raised sharp carina between penis valve and gonostylus.

Floral Associations: Cuphea hyssopifolia (Lythraceae), Rosa rubiginosa (Rosaceae), and Pongamia pinnata (Fabaceae) .

Flight period: March to September.

Distribution. India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Burma.
