Type material. Adult male holotype from the surroundings of Adderet, Adullam Reserve, Israel, leg. Tal Levanony, August 2003, pitfall trap (HUJ 15550). Female unknown.

Etymology. The specific name refers to the general similarity of this species to Z. adderet . Description. Among the smallest Zelotes of Israel. Light coloured with dorsal scutum. Small eyes, AME smallest. Chelicerae with 4 barely visible promarginal denticles.

Male. Measurements (holotype + 1ɗ; holotype listed first): total length 2.3, 2.8; carapace length 1.2, 1.3, width 0.9, 1.1, index 1.33, 1.18; labial index 1.3, 1.3; clypeal index 1.66, 1.66; MOQ index 9.23, 10.0; legs length: I 3.15–3.55, II 2.75–2.95, III– 2.60, IV 3.8–4.2; patella-tibia index 1.0–1.0.

Palpus. Very small with strong hooklike, apical apophysis. Fine, slender, whitish lamina (L) barely visible on mesal side; light brown tibial apophysis tapering slightly (Figs 91, 92).

Diagnosis. Based on male. Zelotes paradderet resembles Z. adderet but can be easily separated, also from all other Zelotes species, by the palpal conspicuous apical hook and the peculiar fine mesal lamina.

Distribution. Israel, known only from the type locality.
