Material examined: two specimens from the sea slope of Paramushir Island (94–215 m) .

Distribution: Sea of Japan; Sea of Okhotsk; northern Kuril Islands (Paramushir Island); Kamchatka Peninsula; Bering Sea; Beaufort Sea, Alaska, to San Diego, California; Arctic Ocean; North Atlantic (Norway, Iceland, Greenland) (4–667 m) (Scarlato 1981; Coan, Valentich-Scott & Bernard 2000; Okutani 2000; Kantor & Sysoev 2005; Lutaenko & Noseworthy 2012).

Remarks: This is a new record from the region of the Kuril Islands.
