Material examined: two specimens from the ocean slope of Kunashir and Paramushir Islands (74–220 m).

Distribution: Sea of Japan; Sea of Okhotsk; Kuril Islands; northern Bering Sea; Alaska; Beaufort Sea to Point Barrow; Arctic Ocean (12–237 m) (Scarlato 1981; Coan, Valentich-Scott & Bernard 2000; Kedra et al. 2010).

Remarks: This is a new record from the region of the Kuril Islands. We assume that this species is distributed throughout the Kuril Islands.
