Kellia comandorica Scarlato, 1981: 321, photos 284, 285.

Material examined: 105 specimens from the ocean and sea slopes of all the Kuril Islands and from the South Kuril, Krusenstern, and Severgin Straits (5–85 m) .

Distribution: Kuril Islands; Commander Islands (0–85 m) (Scarlato 1981; Kamenev 1995, 2004a; Kantor & Sysoev 2005).

Remarks: This species was previously described on the basis of material collected from the Commander Islands (Scarlato 1981). Subsequently, K. comandorica on the Kuril Islands was found only off Urup Island, at depths to 20 m (Kamenev 2004a). Our data has broadened the range of vertical distribution of this species, and the geographical range has been extended southwardly to the southernmost Kuril Islands.
