Type locality: Philippines, Mindanao, Mt. Hamiguitan .

Type series: Holotype — NMPC; paratypes: NMPC, ADPC, USNM.

Remarks. The species is described from moss-sifting samples in Mt. Hamiguitan, Mindanao, Philippines. A probable conspecific specimen is known from Mt. Musuan, Mindanao. In Damaška et al. (2021) the species was sister to all other Cangshanaltica species were included in their analyses ( C. siamensis, C. fuanensis, C. guanxiensis, C. castanea, and C. nr. ogatai from Taiwan).
