Holotype: UPNG 9051, Mt Binnie, Western Province, PNG (S. Richards, M. Cunningham, R. Alford, D. Bickford, 20.xi.1994).

Paratype: UPNG 9052, data as for holotype.

Remarks: Type series consists of three specimens; other paratype in QM. Description gave the collection data as summit of Mt Binnie, 2200m, 5 o 12'S 141 o 7'30"E, Western Province, PNG (S.J. Richards, M. Cunningham, A. Dennis, 20.xi.1994). UPNG 9051 (bearing field tag 209143) is currently correctly labelled (S. Richards, pers. comm.) as the paratype and 9052 (bearing field tag 209144) as holotype; the original register entries with the reverse designations have been altered. Both specimens are in good condition.
