Holotype: UPNG 8441, southeastern slopes of Mt Akrik, 1625m, 5 o 10'S 141 o 10'E, Western Province, PNG (S.J. Richards, G.R. Johnston, 23.xi.1991).

Remarks: Type series consists of two specimens; paratype in QM. Placed in Albericus by Burton and Zweifel (1995). Specimen in good condition.
