Orestes shirakii (Ho & Brock, 2013) comb. nov.

Pylaemenes shirakii Ho & Brock, 2013 in HO (2013): 127; figs 29–31 [described and illustrated].

MATERIAL EXAMINED. 2 ♀♀: TAIWAN, no precise locality, ex breeding 2014 [RBINS].

NOTE. The species is here transferred to Orestes based on the examination of the illustrations of the type specimen presented by HO (2013) and of cultured specimens from Taiwan. Females have the typical dorsally flattened and apically straight anal segment and have the body with the widest part at the posterior margin of tergum IV. These characters obviously place shirakii in Orestes .
