Diagnosis. The new species is similar to F. fontisella Lvovsky & Piskunov, 1989, F. karii Bidzilya & Huemer, 2022, F. multicornuta Bidzilya & Nupponen, 2018, F. sciocrypta (Meyrick, 1936), F. ukrainica Piskunov, 1971, F. nanjiangica sp. nov., F. taxkorgana sp. nov. and F. magnanella sp. nov. in the structure of the phallus. Filatima yanchiensis sp. nov differs from them by having a pair of symmetrical anellus lobes shorter than the sacculus, a U-shaped apical cornutus, and a medial horn-shaped cornutus which is slightly curved at distal 1/3 (Fig. 30); F. fontisella has a pair of distinctly asymmetrical anellus lobes (Lvovsky & Piskunov 1989: fig. 47); F. sciocrypta lacks anellus lobes (Bidzilya & Nupponen 2018: fig. 52), F. magnanella sp. nov. has a pair of enormous anellus lobes longer than the sacculus (Fig. 24), F. multicornuta and F. ukrainica have a V-shaped apical cornutus (Fig. 25) (Medvedev 1989: fig. 655-11), F. nanjiangica sp. nov. has a medial horn-shaped cornutus which is strongly curved at basal 1/3 (Fig. 28). Filatima yanchiensis sp. nov. has a saccus that is strongly narrowed distally (Fig. 30), while in F. karii, the saccus is slightly narrowed distally (Bidzilya & Huemer 2022: fig. 41). Differences between the new species and F. taxkorgana sp. nov. are stated in the diagnosis of the latter species.

Description. Adult (Fig. 10). Wingspan 17.5–18.0 mm.

Head pale grayish brown, frons cream white. Labial palpus: first and second segments cream white except first segment brown on outer surface, second segment brown at basal 1/4; third segment cream white mottled with brown. Antenna: scape grayish brown; flagellum grayish white with brown rings.

Thorax and tegula dark grayish brown. Forewing grayish brown with yellow scales; yellowish brown spot at 1/2 of fold, at middle and end of cell respectively; cilia grayish brown mottled with dark brown tipped grayish white scales. Hindwing and cilia grayish brown. Fore- and midlegs brown with cream white on outer surface, cream white on inner surface, tibiae with cream white scales at middle and apex, tarsi with grayish white scales at apices of 1-3 tarsomeres; hindleg cream white mixed with brown scales.

Male genitalia (Figs 20, 30). Tergum eight ovoid, with broad anterolateral arms. Sternum eight inverted sub-trapezoid; anterior margin nearly straight, with slender anterolateral arms; posterior margin emarginated to about posterior 1/5. Uncus narrowed to apex; lateral lobe digitate, sclerotized. Gnathos stout, hooked, distal 1/3 serrate on inner margin, rounded at apex. Tegumen with anterior margin emarginated to anterior 2/5. Valva wide at base, narrowed to pointed apex, bent inward, distal 1/3 with setae, apically not touching apex of gnathos. Sacculus digitate, setose, about 3/4 length of valva. Anellus lobe strongly sclerotized, hooked, basal 1/3 widened, distal 2/3 horn-shaped, curved outward; shorter than sacculus. Vinculum narrow. Saccus distinctly narrowed to obtuse apex, longer than sacculus. Phallus with two sclerotized lateral extensions and two cornuti: left extension long, curved, narrowed distally, with several teeth on basal convex margin and one tooth at distal 1/5 on outer margin; right extension short and slightly curved, with several teeth on distal 2/3; apical cornutus U-shaped, right arm longer than left arm; medial cornutus horn-shaped, slightly curved, with a tooth at middle.

Female genitalia (Fig. 35). Papillae anales sub-oval-shaped. Apophyses posteriores about four times length of apophyses anteriores. Sternite eight trapezoid-shaped, basal width longer than its length, posterior margin emarginated triangularly at middle; medial sclerite cone-shaped. Ductus bursae wider than eighth sternite, with its length equal to its width, with longitudinal sclerotized folds, with numerous spines on inner surface. Corpus bursae ovoid-shaped, about same width as ductus bursae, with spines on inner surface; signum being a rounded plate with small teeth and two short spine-shaped anterolateral processes, placed near right side of corpus bursae.

Variation. In certain specimens, the male forewings exhibit a mixture of dark brown scales, while the color of spots ranges from grayish brown to brown. In female individuals, the spots appear indistinct. Within the male genitalia, both the positions and quantities of teeth on the cornuti and the extensions of the phallus sheath exhibit variations.

Distribution. China (Ningxia).

Etymology. The specific name is derived from the type locality.
