Genus Macrochile Loew, 1850

Macrochile Loew, 1851: Linnaea Entomol., 5: 402–403, pl. 2, fig. 24 (head), fig. 25 (wing). Type species: Macrochile spectrum Loew.

Representatives of this genus are only known from Baltic amber. Until now only two species were described in this genus, but the second described species belongs to new genus described here.
