Tribe Tripetalocerini Bolívar, 1887

Type genus: Tripetalocera Westwood, 1834 .
Diagnosis. Head conically produced in profile (Fig. 3). Fastigium of vertex short, not produced beyond anterior margin of eyes (Figs. 2, 11). Lateral ocelli in frontal view situated just under the anterior margin of fastigium (Fig. 4). Antennae 8-segmented; sixth and seventh segments are triangular in cross-section; only one apical segment is small and narrow (Figs. 1, 10). Lower side of lateral lobes of pronotum with short triangular spine (Figs. 19, 20). Fore and mid femora not sulcate above, upper carinae with three serrated teeth, lower carinae with two teeth (Fig. 5). Hind femora elongated; upper and lower carinae with teeth (Fig. 12). Upper side of hind tibiae with lateral carinae armed by numerous teeth; outer carina with 15–25 almost equal teeth, inner carina with 19–23 teeth grouped in 5 series (Fig. 13). First segment of hind tarsi 1.1–1.25 times longer than 3rd segment (without claws); third segment is not swollen (Fig. 13). Upper side of upper valve of ovipositor with 4–6 blunt teeth; lower valve tuberculate, without teeth (Figs. 6, 14).
Composition. Two monotypic genera, one of which is described below.
