Diagnosis. Wingspan 8.0–8.5 mm. This species is distinguished by the presence of an orange distal patch and the absence of a black apical spot on the forewing, although the orange patch may be absent, especially in specimens from Japan (Kyaw, Yagi & Hirowatari 2019). Also, there is color pattern variation in the forewing, with the distal 1/3 or 2/3 broadly grey to dark fuscous. The male genitalia are most similar to those of T. acutata sp. nov. Compared to the latter species, T. flavitermina has the valva without an apical projection and a shorter saccus. In addition, the posterior margin of the vinculum is narrowly convex in T. flavitermina .
Distribution. China (Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan), Japan. This species is newly recorded from China.
Remarks. The type materials deposited in OPU of Japan were not examined in this study. A detailed description of T. flavitermina was provided in Kyaw et al. (2019).
