Remarks.
This species has been recorded from Russia (Menzel and Mohrig 1997), and is recorded here from Japan for the first time. It is similar to T. caudata and their morphological differences were explained in the original description of T. hypertricha (Menzel and Mohrig 1997) . While the specimens of this species from Russia have macrotrichia on about distal 2 / 3 of the wing membrane, the specimens from Japan have the macrotrichia restricted to the distal half of the wing membrane. T. hypertricha usually has 3 - segmented palpi, but a male collected in Sapporo (PCMS) has asymmetrically a 3 - segmented right palpus and 2 - segmented left palpus.
