Argentina records have been found for 303 species and 84 genera.

The Reduviidae with 981 genera and more than 6878 species are known, with most occurring in the tropics (Henry, 2009). Putshkov and Putshkov (1985 –1989) listed 21 subfamilies, Maldonado Capriles (1990) recognized Cassis and Gross (1995) listed 26, and Weirauch (2008), with the first cladistic analysis, gave support for 21 subfamilies.
