FAMILY DINIDORIDAE STÅL
JOCELIA GRAZIA, CRISTIANO F. SCHWERTNER AND MARIA DEL CARMEN COSCARÓN
Durai (1987) revised this family recognizing two subfamilies Dinidorinae and Megymeninae, both subdivided in two tribes: Dinidorini and Thalmini, and Megymenini and Eumenotini, respectively. Kocorek and Lis (2000) reviewed the Megymeninae, proposed a new tribe ( Byrsodepsini) and treated Eumenotini as junior synonym of Megymenini . Rolston et al. (1996) summarized the family. A single genus ( Dinidor Latreille) is represented in the Neotropical Region, with one species registered so far in Argentina.
