So far, Argentina records have been found for 41 species in 15 genera for this family.

Literature essential for the study of Neotropical flat bugs are Usinger and Matsuda (1959) and the recent synoptic world list of the Aradidae by Kormilev and Froeschner (1987) and the Neotropical Catalogue Coscarón and Contreras (2012). The latter includes many references to keys separating taxa at various levels. A phylogenetic study of the subfamilies was published by Grozeva and Kerzhner (1992).
