Comments: Based on eight specimens. Body elongated, 1460 ± 249 (1070–1800) × 389 ± 115 (360–440). (Figures 2F, 3C). Tegument covered by spines up to a third of the body. Oral sucker subterminal, 107 ± 18 (80–135) × 103 ± 16 (82–125). Ventral sucker at intestinal bifurcation level, 125 ± 29 (105–150) × 116 ± 25 (89–150). Pharynx muscular, 40 ± 8 (30–50) × 38 ± 8 (28–47). Round testes, in tandem; anterior testis 170 ± 74 (100–320) × 131 ± 50 (68–185), posterior testis, 161 ± 62 (110–290) × 139 ± 64 (62–245). Ovary oval, pretesticular, 99 ± 34 (60–175) × 89 ± 39 (50–140). Vitellarium in forebody, extending from the posterior border of the oral sucker to the anterior/posterior border of the anterior testis. Cirrus-sac at posterior end of body, 157 ± 56 (100–230) × 82 ± 18 (60–100). Eggs 20 ± 0.5 (19–21) × 10 ± 0.5 (10–11).
The morphology of the specimens fits with the features of U. minuta described by Macy (1933). Urotrema minuta has been reported previously in N. laticaudatus from Yucatán and E. nanus from Campeche (Moguel-Chin et al. 2023).
