The kasaharai species group

Diagnosis. Body comparatively wide, medium-sized, length in most members above 8.0 mm (in C. shunichii 6.9– 8.0 mm). Elytra usually not fused along suture; parascutellar strioles present, comparatively short; basal parascutellar setigerous pores present in most species; preapical sinuations of elytra comparatively shallow. Metepisterna slightly wider than long or approximately as wide as long. Tergite VII (last visible) of female rounded at apex. Metacoxae each with or without a posterolateral setigerous pore. Aedeagus with comparatively short or moderately long terminal lamella and without apical capitulum.
