Genus Metadrinomyia Shima
Metadrinomyia Shima, 1980: 259 (type species, Metadrinomyia proclinata Shima, by original designation)
Diagnosis. The genus Metadrinomyia can be diagnosed by the combination of the following characteristics (modified from Shima, 1980): 1) anepimeral seta indistinguishable from nearby setulae; 2) abdominal tergite 5 without discal setae; 3) distiphallus relatively long and subbasally bent downward at a right angle; and 4) female with hook-like sternite 7 in postabdomen.
