Diagnostic characters of genus Euseius Wainstein, 1962, following the classificatory scheme of Chant & McMurtry (2007): dorsal shield broad; seta Z5 sometimes thickened, serrated; posterior margin of sternal shield with lobe like projection; ventrianal shield vase-shaped or ovoid, rarely pentagonal, with strong forward migration of pre-anal setae JV2 and ZV2, and seta JV1 migrated backwards from anterior margin of shield; male ventrianal shield with three pairs of pre-anal setae arranged in a tangential row; peritreme not extending to level of seta j1; teeth of fixed digit clustered apically; deutosternal groove is unusually wide, 7–9 µm in width; macrosetae usually on genu II and III and rarely on genu I.
