Materials examined. 4 females (Acarol.lab/ BCKV /8939–8942/2023) ex Indian gooseberry ( Phyllanthus emblica L.: Phyllanthaceae) at Conoor (11°20’49” N 76°47’40” E, 1550 m asl), 20 June 2023; 6 females (Acarol.lab/ BCKV /8943‒8948/2023) ex jungle geranium, ( Ixora coccinea L.: Rubiaceae) at Guindy National Park, Chennai (13°00’12” N 80°13’52” E, 8 m asl), 5 May 2023, Tamil Nadu, India .

Ecological notes. Euseius alstoniae (Gupta, 1975) is widely distributed in association with many agri-horticultural crops and was found in same intraguild with Typhlodromips syzygii (Gupta, 1975) and other phytophagous mites. The spider mite species and eriophyid mites are noted as preferred food sources of E. alstoniae (Gupta) .
