Type material.

There is a single shell of this variety in ZMB (kept under No. 101520). Kilias (1961) regarded it as the holotype (by monotypy). Its shell height is 17.1 mm.

Type locality.

Indonesia, Sumatra Island, Palembang. leg. E. von Martens.

Current taxonomic allocation.

Possibly, a synonym of Radix (Radix) rubiginosa (see Hubendick 1951).
