Lectotype (designated here):— INDIA. Karnataka: Coorg (Kodagu), s.d., [Herb. Wight] W. Munro 1001 (K000821511 [digital image!]).
Notes:—Only one original specimen of Eugenia codyensis collected by Munro from Coorg and included by Wight in his herbarium is extant at K (K000821511), which is designated here as the lectotype as it agrees well with the protologue. A letter on which a description of E. codyensis written by Munro (as “ Eugenia codyensis Munro mss.”) based on the live specimens from Coorg is attached with this specimen.
