Distribution: Endemic to Greece: Samothraki Island (TH).
Type material: Holotype: male 8 mm on 3 slides [412/1–412/3] = Samothraki Island, Greece, Aegean Sea, 1933, 4 exp. (leg. Ade) ,. Paratype: male 7 mm [412/4], data same as for holotype, (leg. Ade) . Holotype and paratype are deposited in KCPM .
Remarks: This species was initially described by Karaman S. (1934), and re-described by Karaman G.S. in 2018, using the type material. It is known so far from only the type locality. The exact type locality of this species is unknown.
Etymology: This species was named in honor of its collector, the botanist Alfred Adei.
