Dasyproctus orientalis (Cameron, 1890)

Images of type examined: Holotype/syntype ♀, India: Bengal, coll. Cameron 1901–261, B.M. TYPE HYM. 21.1,004 (NHMUK 015934084).

Diagnosis based on Holotype / Syntype. Body length 8.4 mm; fore wing length 6.22 mm. Black with following parts variously coloured: scape yellow, pedicel and fu 1 brown with apex pale yellowish brown; pronotal collar and pronotal lobe pale yellow; axilla and scutellum dorso-medially pale yellow; fore and mid femora black with apical pale-yellow spot; fore and mid tibiae yellow with ventral brown streak; hind tibia brown with outer yellow streak; Gt 1 and Gt 3 immaculate; Gt 2 and Gt 4 with oblong maculae laterally; Gt 5 with median yellow band. Clypeus deeply indented, medially widely semicircular, wider than antennal torulus; anterior carina of pronotal collar laterally curving towards pronotal lobe; IOC distinctly marked; POD subequal to OOD; in female cephalic punctation distinct, minimal beyond posterior ocellus, mesosoma with conspicuous punctation anteriorly, posteriorly shallow; in male punctation on head wide, scattered, mesosoma granulose with scattered pits.
