Xanthodynerus caucasicus Giordani Soika, 1960: 133, ♀ (type locality: “ Caucaso: Araxesthal ” [Armenia]).

Material examined. AZERBAIJAN. Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic: Julfa, Daridagh-2, 39°03ʹ58ʹʹN, 45°37ʹ35ʹʹE, 1100 m, 20. VI.2024, 1 ♀, leg. M. Proshchalykin, M. Maharramov [CAFK] .

Distribution. Armenia, * Azerbaijan (Nakhchivan AR).

Remarks. This species was previously known by the holotype only, the specimen from Azerbaijan is illustrated here (Fig. 3). Photographs of the holotype from the Naturhistorisches Museum Wien (Vienna, Austria) were examined; it fits the specimen from Azerbaijan except that the holotype is discolored (pale brown instead of orange).
