DISTRIBUTION. — This rare species is known only from Suriname and French Guiana.
NOTE
The species is easily recognizable in the vegetative state with two glands at the apex of the petiole, entire leaves, and bright orange stipules. Feuillet (1986) mentions other isotypes in various institutions (F, G, MG); however, these specimens are either not available online or were never deposited by the author.
