Haltichella macrocera (Waterston, 1922)

Material examined. Kerala, 1♀ Wayanad dt., Muthanga, 11.iii.2019, Coll. C. Binoy.
Diagnosis. Black with scape, pedicel, proximal flagellomeres, tegula, all coxae, fore (except prefemur darker medially) and mid legs and all tibiae brown (Fig. 49); head as wide as mesosoma; preorbital carina indicated (Fig. 51, arrow); head (Fig. 51) and mesosoma (Fig. 50) with close umbilicate punctures, the interspaces faintly rugose; scutellum apically bidentate (Fig. 50); fore wing infumate, darkest beyond mv and subapically (Fig. 49); metafemur ventrally with long serrulation, not forming any lobes (Fig. 52); metatibia externally with additional outer carina within distal half (Fig. 52, arrow); Gt 1 large, shiny, occupying 0.7× total length of metasoma, with two short carinae at base (Fig. 53, arrow).
Note. This is the first host record for H. macrocera .
