Pontoscolex (Nulloscolex) Hernandez-García, nov. subgen.

Type species. Pontoscolex (Nulloscolex) hugoi, n. sp.

Diagnosis. Tubercula pubertatis absent. Small calciferous glands of simple tubular structure. Large spermathecae in VI–VIII. Posterior setae irregularly arranged. Anterior septa with conventional parietal insertion.

Etymology. The subgenus name derives from the absence of tubercula pubertatis.
