Eumicrus vestitus Sharp, 1874: 126 . Based on specimens from Honshū and Kyūshū.

Scydmaenus (Scydmaenus) vestitus (Sharp); Franz, 1985: 109; but as Scydmaenus incertae sedis in Shibata et al. (2013: 150). Redescribed and aedeagus illustrated by Franz (1985: 108, fig. 21), presumably based on type series from Japan.

Distribution. Japan (Honshū (Sharp, 1874: 126); Kyūshū (Sharp, 1874: 126); Yaeyama Islands (Shibata et al. 2013: 150); Taiwan (Reitter, 1913: 267). However, Franz (1985: 110) concluded that S. vestitus does not occur in Taiwan, and in Vít (2004: 227) distribution is given as Japan only.
