Material examined. Holotype ♂, Brazil: Paraná, Colombo, Embrapa campus, S25.3215° W49.1579°, 920 m, 30.xi.2020, Roupala montana var. brasiliensis (D.L. Queiroz) #998(9) (UFPR; dry mounted.)
Paratypes. Brazil: Paraná, ♂, same as holotype but (NHMB; slide mounted; NMB-PSYLL0003054) .
Description. Adult. Colouration (Fig. 1E). Yellow. Foveae on vertex orange. Antenna yellow, segments 4–7 greyish in the middle, segment 8 in apical half and entire segments 9 and 10 dark brown or black. Thorax dorsally with orange pattern as follows: pronotum with two sublateral dots on either side, mesopraescutum with two large spots along fore margin, mesoscutum with each a submedian and sublateral longitudinal stripe on either side as well as a median line; meso- and metascutellum whitish, the former with a few brown dots. Forewing (Fig. 2I) yellow with indistinct light brown dots and patches on membrane and dark brown dots on veins. Hindwing light yellowish. Abdominal sclerites yellowish to ochreous. Apex of paramere almost black.
Structure. Body (Fig. 1C) 3.2 mm long (1 ♂). Head (Fig. 1F) with subrectangular vertex, 0.5 times as long as wide; genal processes relatively large, truncate apically; eyes subglobular. Antenna 1.2 times as long as head width; antennal segment 10 2.3 times as long as its diameter; length ratio of antennal segment 10 and terminal setae as 1.0: 1.3: 0.9. Rostrum 0.4 times head width. Mesepimeron with large tubercle. Metapostnotum with flattened median tubercle. Metatibia 0.8 times as long as head width, with 8 apical spurs. Forewing 2.6 times as long as head width, 2.1 times as long as wide; pterostigma relatively narrow and long; surface spinules in cell r 2 above bifurcation of vein M forming dense irregular transverse rows. Male terminalia as in Fig. 4A–C. Male proctiger one-segmented, 0.4 times as long as head width, irregularly expanded posteriorly. Paramere slightly shorter than proctiger; in lateral view, apically relatively broad and weakly curved backwards; inner face in apical third with many, densely spaced setae. Apical dilation of distal aedeagal segment gradually widening basally. Female unknown.
Measurements (in mm) (1 ♂). Head width 1.04; antenna length 1.22; forewing length 2.72; male proctiger length 0.40; paramere length 0.36; length of distal segment of aedeagus 0.40.
Fifth instar immature. Unknown.
Etymology. Zeus was the King of the Olympian Gods; he was respected and feared.
Host plant. Adults were collected on Roupala montana var. brasiliensis (Klotzsch) K.S. Edwards ( Proteaceae) which is a possible host.
Distribution. Brazil (Paraná).
