Anastoechus doulananus Du et al., 2008: 16, 17. Type locality: China (Qinghai).
Diagnosis. Thorax with long dense white hairs on back. Legs yellowish with white scales. Hairs on abdomen and sternites mostly white. Epandrium curved mid-posteriorly in dorsal view; epiphallus turriform, acute at tip in dorsal view.
Redescription. Male. Body length 10 mm, wing length 9 mm.
Head (Fig. 6) yellow with brown dust. Hairs on head black and white; frons narrowing directed distally, with long dense black and white erect hairs, face with long dense white erect hairs; occiput with long sparse black erect hairs and long dense white erect hairs. Antenna black except yellow at joint; scape elongate with dense black and white hairs; first flagellomere elongate, bare, with a stylus at tip. Proboscis black, bare, nearly four times longer than head.
Thorax black with pale dust. Hairs on thorax mostly white; postpronotal lobe with long dense yellow hairs, mesonotum with long dense white hairs; thorax with long dense white hairs on back, anepisternum and katepisternum with long dense white hairs. Scutellum reddish brown with long dense white hairs. Legs yellowish with white scales. Hairs on legs mostly white, bristles yellowish. Femora with long dense white hairs and dense white scales; tibiae and tarsi with sparse white scales. Hind femur with six av apically. Mid tibia with nine ad, 10 pd, eight av, seven pv; hind tibia with eight ad, nine pd, seven av and seven pv. Wing (Fig. 16) uniformly pale brown. Vein r-m close to tip of cell dm, cell r5 closed. Base of vein C with brush-like long black bristles and yellowish scales. Halteres brown.
Abdomen black with brown dust. Hairs on abdomen mostly white; dorsum with long dense white erect hairs except tergites 5–7 with long black recumbent hairs. Sternites with long dense white erect and recumbent hairs.
Male genitalia (Figs. 51–56). Epandrium trapezoidal, nearly as long as high; cercus well exposed in lateral view; epandrium nearly as long as wide, curved mid-posteriorly in dorsal view; gonocoxite almost parallel in ventral view; gonostylus oval, its tip acute in lateral view; epiphallus turriform, acute at tip in dorsal view, epiphallus with a rather long, narrow, and curved tip in lateral view.
Female. Unknown.
Specimens examined. 1 male, CHINA: Qinghai, Wulan, Serh (N 36°59’ E 98°22’), 4. VIII. 1950, Baolin Lu & Jikun Yang (Holotype) (CAU); 1 male, CHINA: Qinghai, Doulan, Xiligou (N 36°51’ E 98°27’), 28. VII. 1950, Baolin Lu & Jikun Yang (Paratype) (CAU).
