Material examined. One specimen (NMNS-5928-007), Tashi fish market, Ilan County, northeastern Taiwan, offshore trawling (about 200 m deep), fine sediment bottom, coll. P.-W. Hsueh, 7 March 1997.
Remarks. This small sipunculan often has a smooth-skinned, cylindrical body form. It is very widely distributed in major oceans, with the exception of the Indian Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. Most specimens have been recorded from less than 300 m although the range can vary from 1 to 5000 m deep (Cutler 1994).
