Material examined. One specimen (NMNS-5928-004), Kentin, Pingtung County, intertidal sand bottom, coll. H.-T. Hung, 20 April 1995; two specimens (NMNS-5928-005), Wunlitung (21°59.81' N, 120°42.3' E), Pingtung County, southern Taiwan, intertidal sand bottom, coll. H.-T. Hung, 1 June 1996; one specimen (NMNS-5928-006), Baoli River mouth (22°03.33' N, 120°42.08' E), Pingtung County, intertidal sand bottom, coll. H.-T. Hung, 27 Jul. 2005.

Remarks. Specimens examined in the present study agree well with descriptions of the species, which has no contractile vessel (CV) villi, four introvert RMs, introvert without hooks or scalelike papillae, and 19 LMBs (Cutler 1994). The type locality of this species is Funafuti Island, Tuvalu in South Pacific but it has also been found in southern Japanese islands (Cutler 1994). Zhou et al. (2007) also reported this species from Xisha Islands in the South China Sea.
