Ichneumon incanescens Smith, 1874

Taxonomic history. Heinrich (1937) formally transferred this species to Tricholabus Thomson, 1894, although Claude Morley had already reidentified this as a species of Tricholabus in December 1915, as in Figure 17 (a) (unpublished data). Moreover, Uchida (1940a) also transferred Ichneumon incanescens to Tricholabus strigatorius (Gravenhorst, 1829), as a subspecies.

Current taxonomy. Tricholabus strigatorius incanescens (Smith, 1874) ( Ichneumonidae: Ichneumoninae: Ichneumonini).

Type number. Type 3b.299. Specimen # NHMUK010881022

Type status. Holotype.

Sex. Female.

Type locality. Hyôgo Prefecture, Honshû, Japan.

Condition. Very good, but right antenna broken at 39th flagellomere and left antenna at 37th flagellomere.
