Agathis atricornis Smith, 1874

Taxonomic history. Watanabe (1937) synonymised Cremnops alternans Enderlein, 1920 under Agathis atricornis Smith, 1874 and transferred it from Agathis Latreille, 1804 in Latreille (1805) to Cremnops Förster, 1863 . Then, this species was synonymised under C. desertor by Sharkey (1996), which was followed by van Achterberg and Khuat Dang (2010).

Current taxonomy. Junior synonym of Cremnops desertor (Linnaeus, 1758) ( Braconidae: Agathidinae: Cremnoptini).

Type number. Type 3c.925. Specimen # NHMUK010634924

Type status. Holotype.

Sex. Female.

Type locality. Hyôgo Prefecture, Honshû, Japan.

Condition. Good: the flagellomeres of both antennae, left fore leg, left mid leg, right hind tibia and tarsomeres are lost. One leg and antenna are mounted on another glue board and are probably the left mid leg and left antenna.
