Taxonomic history. Morley (1913b) synonymised B. semiluteus with Bracon (Pigeria) piger (Wesmael, 1838), but Papp (2012) subsequently synonymised it under B. (Glabrobracon) praecox (Wesmael, 1838) .

Current taxonomy. Junior synonym of Bracon (Glabrobracon) praecox (Wesmael, 1838) ( Braconidae: Braconinae: Braconini).

Type number. Type 3c.1325. Specimen # NHMUK010881033

Type status. Holotype.

Condition. Very good; but third to fifth tarsomeres of left fore leg and right hind tarsus lost.
