Diplommatina nevilli — Laidlaw 1949: 202, fig. 2c. Vermeulen & Whitten 1998: 50, 138, fig 29. MaaSSen 2002: 171, fig. 15– 16. NurinSiyah 2015: 32. NurinSiyah et al. 2016: 559.

Diagnosis. Diplommatina nevilli is characterized by a small-sized shell without distinct extensions of the peristome, a low columellar lamella and widely spaced, perpendicular ribs.

Shell (Fig. 38; Table 1). Dextral; spindle-shaped with conical early whorls and a slightly narrowed last whorl; with 6.25–7.5 whorls separated by a deep suture; protoconch smooth; teleoconch with perpendicular ribs (23–32 on the penultimate whorl; approximately the same number on the last whorl); with discernible spiral striae between the ribs; whitish; subtranslucent; last whorl rounded, with an indistinct ventral constriction; aperture subangular, angular at the transition from columellar to basal side; upper insertion of the peristome ascending towards aperture; insertions of the peristome connected by a distinct callus; peristome distinctly expanded, thickened, doubled; aperture with a low columellar lamella; with a parietal lamella, a short spiral palatal fold in the middle of the whorl and a long radial palatal fold ventrally inside the last whorl; umbilicus closed; operculum thin, corneous, circular, paucispiral. Shell height 2.25–2.9 mm, shell diameter 1.05–1.3 mm.

Remarks. This species is most similar to D. canaliculata, from which it differs in the smaller, more slender shell (shell height 2.25–2.9 mm versus 3.05–3.45 mm) with a low columellar lamella and less distinct extensions at the peristome.

Habitat. In leaf litter and on the vegetation in primary and secondary forests on calcareous soils at 6–260 m a.s.l.
