Genus Plakinastrella Schulze, 1880

Diagnosis. Plakinidae with skeleton composed by non-lophose diods, triods and calthrops. Spicules often with wide size variation, usually in three size classes; microrhabds are present in one species (modified from Muricy & Diaz 2002).
