Type: Neumann Camp (Kenya, but in reality based on material from E or NE Africa and Yemen), von Aosta 1688 (holotype: B, destroyed); neotype: Eritrea, Nefasit, base of Mt Bizen, Ryding et al. 2095 (neotype: C; isoneotypes: ASMU, ETH, UPS, designated by Ryding (2001)).
