Synonymy: Kohout 1988: 434 (junior primary homonym of Polyrhachis bicolor Smith, 1858: 65; replacement name: Polyrhachis indocilis Santschi, 1928: 139).

Note. Karawajew (1927) gave collection number 3146 to the holotype specimen of this species, but the collection number of the corresponding specimen in his collection is 4946. We did not find any other material with number 3146 in the collection and assume that the number 3146 in Karawajew (1927) is a misprint.
