Note. Seifert (2021) considered Formica constrricta (Sic!) Karawajew, 1929 as a hybrid of F. polyctena Foerster, 1850 and F. aquilonia Yarrow, 1955 . Accordingly, based on Article 23.8 of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN 1999) name constricta is unavailable.
