Stenosigma humerale GiOrdani SOika, 1990: 148 (in the key); 155.

Stenosigma humerale; Hermes & Ferreira, 2016: 123 –126.

Type data: Holotype female (MSVE). Examined.

Type locality: Mapiri, Bolivia.

Comments and Diagnosis. S. humerale was described by Giordani Soika (1990) and is quite different from previously recognized species in the genus ( S. allegrum, S. testaceum and S. imitans). The sparse punctures of the pronotum and mesepisternum (Figs. 18, 21); the lateral margins of T1 not completely fused ventrally (Fig. 30); and the flat, little developed pre-apical fossa of T1 (Fig. 31) are a set of distinctive features of this species (Hermes & Ferreira, 2016, p. 124). In addition, this species has large body size and melanic coloration (Fig. 2) that resembles species of Pachymenes (Hermes & Ferreira, 2016) . For a listing of other diagnostic features for the species see Hermes and Ferreira (2016, p. 124).
