Distribution and habitat. Widespread species in the Holarctic (Dózsa-Farkas 2019; Degtyarev et al. 2022). Occurring often in moist habitat, but also in dry rocky grasslands (Dózsa-Farkas 2019). Probably a species complex (Schmelz & Collado 2010).

Distribution in China. Xizang Autonomous Region (Stephenson 1909).
