Distribution and habitat. Not in strongly acidic soils. Widespread, very common in Europe (Schmelz & Collado 2010; Dózsa-Farkas 2019). Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Venezuela (Christoffersen 2009). Korea (Hong & Dózsa-Farkas 2018), Canada (Dash 1970), Japan (Nakamura 1978), Russia (Degtyarev et al. 2020; 2022; 2023); probably cosmopolitan.

Distribution in China. Jilin Province (Chen 2009; Shen 2012); Guizhou Province (Chen et al. 2022).
